Harmony in society should be increased by reducing intolerance - Nurul Islam

Sanju Roy, Bogra: Bogra Sadar Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Nurul Islam said that the society should work together to reduce intolerance and thereby increase social harmony. He said that today's young society will lead the prosperous Bangladesh of the future, so everyone should play their role from their respective positions to help them grow. Apart from parental vigilance, we all have a shared responsibility as members of the society to ensure that the youth do not engage in any criminal activities unknowingly. Everyone's awareness can make a positive change in the society. He said the above words in the speech of the chief guest in an exchange meeting held at Pallimangal Baruipara United High School of Shakharia Union of Sadar Upazila on Thursday morning to organize rural development project as a subsidiary organization of Rupantar Khulna to reduce intolerance and increase social harmony in Bogra. Funded by the European Union and supported by Helvetas Bangladesh, Pallimangal Baruipara United High School Principal Bajlur Rashid presided over the exchange meeting and PUP program coordinator Sheikh Abu Rahat Md. Masrukul Islam gave a welcome speech at the meeting. Sadar Upazila Secondary Education Officer Golam Mahbub Morshed and Shakharia Union Parishad Chairman Enamul Haque Rumi spoke as special guests on the occasion. About hundred people including teachers, students and youth volunteers actively participated in the meeting under the direction of Nilufa Yasmin, program officer of PUP.
