News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, "As the national elections are approaching, the conspiracy to oust him is being strengthened. He also said, "They plotted before the 2014 elections, they did it before the 2018 elections and now when the elections are approaching, Sheikh Hasina must be removed from power."

He said this during a courtesy meeting with the newly elected board members of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society at Ganobhaban on Wednesday (August 3) with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Sheikh Hasina said, “Disasters will come from all directions and are coming. On one hand, natural disasters are man-made disasters on the other. So not even an inch of land can be left uncultivated. We have to sustain ourselves by increasing production.”

The Prime Minister said, "International disaster will also come along where Russell (a 10-year-old child) was killed and after surviving that family, Aslam brought success to the government, brought Bangladesh the status of a developing country, many will not like it." So they are active all the time. I know their activity is very high. I also keep their news, I don't know anyone. They are carrying out their plot.”

He reiterated the call to increase production and achieve austerity by utilizing every inch of the country's land to achieve food self-sufficiency, focusing on sanctions and counter-sanctions in the context of the coronavirus and the Russia-Ukraine war.

Sheikh Hasina said, “As a result of this sanction, the price of every thing is increasing and I do not know who is benefiting from this war. Arms manufacturers and suppliers benefit. And ordinary people are dying, from small children to ordinary people, what an inhumane life today. That is the saddest thing.”

The Prime Minister said, "I don't know who will benefit by plotting against Bangladesh, but the people of Bangladesh will be harmed. Because we are targeting one thing. As I said no man will be landless. The steps that the father of the nation started from Noakhali. I am fulfilling that responsibility. Now 56 thousand more houses are being constructed (for free distribution). Then there will be no more landless people here.”

Apart from the government, he has given the responsibility to the leaders and workers of his party to find the landless and homeless in the country and said, "Even then, I am taking the news separately. We have told the leaders and workers of our Krishak League and Awami League in various departments including Rangpur - they should find and list those who are landless and homeless. I have been asked to list one area at a time so that no one is left out. We will house them as well as provide livelihood. Because not a single person will be landless or homeless in Bangladesh."

The Prime Minister instructed the Red Crescent Society to formulate a plan to modernize the Holy Family Hospital, including restoring it to its former status.

He also laid emphasis on revitalizing the district level committees of the Red Crescent and making the committees effective.

Vice Chairman Nurur Rahman, Treasurer MA Salam, Secretary General Kazi Safiqul Azam, Arma Dutta MP, M Manjurul Islam and other board members were present during the meeting with the Prime Minister at Ganabhaban.
