International Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has started reshuffle of the cabinet after dismissing Education Minister Partha Chatterjee on corruption charges. According to Hindustan Times, a total of 8 ministers, including 7 new ministers, were sworn in at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. Among the new ministers are Udayan Guha, Tajmul Hossain, Partha Bhowmik, Pradeep Majumdar, Snehashis Chakraborty, Babul Supriya, Biplab Roy Chowdhury and Satyajit Burman. The new ministers took oath at the Raj Bhavan in the afternoon. Acting Governor La Ganesha administered the oath. This is the biggest reshuffle in the Trinamool Congress cabinet since coming to power for the third consecutive term in 2021. Among the new ministers are Pradeep Majumdar, Partha Bhowmik, Udayan Guha, Babul Supriya and Snehashis Chakraborty. And independent ministers are Birbaha Hansda and Biplab Roy Chowdhury. Tajmul Hussain and Satyajit Burman are getting responsibility in the Ministry of Home Affairs. The new ministers will start working in full swing ahead of the panchayat elections.
