No. 3 warning signal issued at the seaport

News Desk: Due to the formation of deep convective clouds (thunderclouds), the Department of Meteorology has issued permanent warning signal No. 3 in the seaports of the country due to the fear of gales blowing in the coastal areas.

On the other hand, the trend of rains decreased in the northern part of the country and rains increased in Chittagong in the southeast and Barisal in the south. The weather department said that this trend of heavy and light rains in some places may continue on Wednesday (August 3).

Feni received the highest rainfall of 106 mm in the last 24 hours from 6 am on Tuesday (August 2) to 6 am on Wednesday. All the 12 rain gauge zones of Chittagong division received rain on Tuesday. In this, Cox's Bazar received 55 mm and Rangamati 55 mm. Barisal has received 76 mm of rain. However, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh were almost rainless. Only Dinajpur and Bogra received one millimeter of rain.

Meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick said that in the next 24 hours from 9 am on Wednesday, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and many places in Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Dhaka divisions may experience light to moderate rain or thunder with temporary gusty winds. Also, there may be moderate to heavy rainfall in some parts of the country.

The meteorologist also said that the day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged at this time.

The highest temperature in Mangalbal country was 36.1 degrees Celsius in Mongla. Sitakunda recorded the lowest temperature in the country on Wednesday morning at 24 degrees Celsius.

According to the weather warning, deep convective clouds are forming over North Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal areas of Bangladesh. Seaports, North Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Bangladesh may experience stormy winds. Therefore, fishing boats and trawlers stationed in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution till further instructions.

In the warning - Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to show local warning signal number 3.

45 per hour from South or South-East over Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Kushtia, Jessore, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions in the weather forecast till 6 pm on Wednesday. From 60 kms there may be temporary rain with gusty winds or rain with thunder. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
