Sports Desk: Nurur Hasan Sohan has been ruled out of the Zimbabwe series due to injury after two matches of captaincy. In his place, former T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyad has been taken to the Bangladesh team as a replacement. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter in a message. Mahmudullah was already staying with the team in Zimbabwe to play the ODI series. So he is the only option for BCB in the last T20 match to be held on Tuesday (August 2). As Sohan was injured, the selectors could not take anyone except Mahmudullah, Nazmul Shanto or Parvez Imon in his place. But both Shanta and Eamon are top-order batsmen. None of them have the experience of batting down. Even Mehdi Miraj on the bench will not be able to bat to meet the demands of number five or number six in the batting order. Therefore, the team management has approached the experienced all-rounder Mahmudullah.
