Sharmili Ahmed's Janaza is buried in Uttara, Banani

News Desk: Renowned actress Sharmili Ahmed's janaza will be held on Friday (July 7) after Jumma at the premises of Uttara Sector 11 Mosque in the capital. After Asr, the actress will be buried at Banani Cemetery. Sister actress Wahida Mallick Jolly has said that she will be laid to rest next to her husband Rakibuddin Ahmed's grave. Jolly said, “After the janaza, the upper body will be kept at home for a couple of hours to see the relatives. After that, she will be buried in her husband's grave at Banani cemetery after Asr. ” Sharmili Ahmed's family name is Majeda Mallick. He had been battling terminal cancer for a long time. He was rushed to a hospital on Friday (July 6th) morning after his condition worsened. The on-duty doctor declared him dead soon after he was taken to the hospital. Funeral of renowned actress Sharmili Ahmed will be held on Friday (July 7) at the premises of Sector 11 Mosque in Uttara after Jumma. After Asr, the actress will be buried at Banani Cemetery. Sister actress Wahida Mallick Jolly has said that she will be laid to rest next to her husband Rakibuddin Ahmed's grave. Sharmili Ahmed was born on 7 May 1948 in Rajshahi. Sharmili Ahmed's career in radio started in 1982. He started acting in movies in 1984. She was first seen in the role of mother in the play 'Agun' directed by Mohammad Mohsin in 1986. Her husband Rakibuddin Ahmed was also a film director. His wife Sharmili Ahmed acted in his film 'Palatak'.
