Heroin dealer in Gopalpur sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and fine

Nur Alam, (Gopalpur) Tangail: A young man named Shahinur Islam has been sentenced to 6 months rigorous imprisonment and fined Tk 500 in Gopalpur for selling and consuming heroin. Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Sadia Islam passed the order on Monday afternoon. Son of late Hazrat Ali of Bakhuria Bari village in Shahinur municipal town. Officer-in-charge (OC) said. Mosharraf Hossain said that on the basis of secret information, Sub-Inspector (SI) Zaid Abdullah bin Chharwar conducted an operation with the police force and arrested him from Abhungi Boyalpar with heroin. He has been using and selling various types of drugs including heroin for a long time. He was later sent to Tangail Jail by a mobile court.
