Savar Correspondent: A garment worker named Rakibul Islam Ujjwal (24) died at the hospital three days after he was called from his house in Ashulia of Savar and beaten up with a rod. He died at Enam Medical College and Hospital in Savar on Monday morning, hospital official Yusuf Ali confirmed. Earlier, he was beaten with a rod in Madhyapara area of ​​Vadail in Ashulia last Friday. The victim's family lodged a complaint with Ashulia Police Station on the same day. The deceased was identified as Rakibul Islam Ujjwal, son of Rafiqul Islam of Chandanbaisha village under Sariakandi police station in Bogra district. He used to rent a house in Vadail area of ​​Ashulia and work in a garment factory called 'Packzer Bangladesh Limited' in the new EPZ. Md. Sajib, the cousin of the deceased, said that a long time ago, a girl of Ujjwal's friend Golam Rabbani got into a fight with a boy named Jewel. Since then, last Friday night, Jewel called Ujjwa and took him to the side of the house. There were already 5-6 people including Sumon. As Ujjwal left, Rijuel grabbed him by the hand and threw him on the ground, beating him randomly with two rods. After receiving the news, I rescued her injured and took her to the Women and Children's Hospital. From there I was taken to Enam Medical for advanced treatment. Doctors said my brother died on Sunday morning during treatment. We have lodged a complaint with Ashulia police station. Ashulia Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Raju Mandal said the body of the deceased was recovered and sent to Suhrawardy Hospital for autopsy. That complaint of the victim's family has been turned into a case. Besides, an operation is underway to arrest the accused.
