According to the forecast, the monsoon axis extends from Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and central Bangladesh to Assam. An extension of it extends to the northeastern Bay of Bengal. Monsoon winds are fairly active over Bangladesh and moderate elsewhere in the North Bay. The meteorological office said day and night temperatures across the country could remain almost unchanged. Rainfall may continue in the next 72 hours.
