A. Mukul Bose, a member of the league's advisory council, has died

News Desk: Awami League Advisory Council member Mukul Bose has died. Awami League office secretary Biplob Barua said he died at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, India, around 5:15 am on Saturday (July 2). Mukul Bose also suffered a heart attack with kidney complications. Mukul Bose, 6, is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed deep grief over the death of Mukul Bose. During the state of emergency in 2007, Obaidul Quader, Syed Ashraful Islam and Mukul Bose were also joint general secretaries. After Mukul was identified as a reformist, the workers got angry. After General Secretary Abdul Jalil and Joint General Secretary Obaidul Quader went to jail, another Joint General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam took over as Acting General Secretary.
