Sports Desk: Cristiano Ronaldo has demanded compensation after being released from the rape case. He is seeking 628,000 in damages against the lawyer of the plaintiff, Catherine Mayorga. His lawyer has filed a lawsuit in a U.S. court on behalf of CR Seven. Ronaldo's lawyer Peter Christianensen filed the petition with U.S. District Judge Jennifer Dorsey. Where the mayor's lawyer, Mark Stoval, was asked to pay the compensation. However, ESPN reported that Stoval could not be reached by phone or mail on Wednesday. He did not even respond to a text message from his assistant, Larissa Drohbaikzer. The mayor's lawyer will have to answer to the court by July 8. The rape case filed against Ronaldo in the United States on June 10 was finally settled. The Portuguese star was completely acquitted of the case. According to the BBC, the US judge found the information brought by Ronaldo's opponent's lawyer to be false and fabricated. The case dates back to 2009, when plaintiff Katherine Mayorga alleged that Ronaldo raped her at a hotel in Las Vegas. However, Ronaldo denied such allegations. The Manchester United forward said they were involved in a physical relationship with the consent of the two. But after this incident, when Catherine threatened to sue, Ronaldo paid her ৩ 375,000 for a settlement. In 2016, Katherine complained again. A legal inquiry into the matter began in August of that year. However, Ronaldo's lawyers said the case had no basis and that Ronaldo was being harassed without cause. In the end, this proved to be true. The woman named Katherine Mayorga will not be able to sue again even if she wants to. Katherine's lawyer, Leslie Mark Stoval, will also be punished for his misconduct with Ronaldo. This time compensation was sought against him.
