Former England off-spinner Graeme Swann has named Indian national team star leg-spinner Jubendra Chahal as the best spinner in the world. He further said that Chahal has been kept in the Indian team as a limited overs cricketer.
Swann is not sure if Chahal will be able to adapt to red ball cricket, even though he is the best in the world in white. There are so many cricketers in the world who choose only one format, he wondered if Chahal has anything in mind.
In this context, Swann said, "I would sit with Yuzi and say, 'What is this?' Do you want to play for India? ` If his answer is yes then I will take him directly to the squad. I think he is world class. I think he is the best spinner in the world. His ball control, his leg spin in difficult situations, especially when the dew falls and gets wet, is impeccable.
Chahal made his debut in the Indian jersey in 2016. Since then, he has played 61 ODIs and 60 T20Is for India. Although this bowler did not make his debut in white cricket. Because, in limited overs, he is considered as one of the best spinners in India.
In the last edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chahal has also shown brilliance with the ball. He became the highest wicket taker of the tournament with 26 wickets. However, Swann is not sure if Chahal wants to tie himself in just a limited number of overs.
His comment, শ্যOf course many get stuck in one or more formats and it becomes difficult for many. Okay I should say Juji is the best white ball spinner. Because I don’t know if he can be the best on the red ball. However, some cricketers have been imprisoned in the white ball format
