Another 40 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the country, 38 of them in Dhaka

News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 40 people have been admitted to hospitals across the country due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. A total of 128 dengue patients are being treated in hospitals across the country.

On Wednesday (June 29), the Health Department's Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room in-charge Dr. Md. This information has been given in the report on dengue signed by Jahidul Islam.

According to the report, 40 more dengue patients were admitted to the hospital between 8 am on Tuesday and the same period on Wednesday. Of the new victims, 38 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in Dhaka. Of them, 14 are undergoing treatment at Mugda Medical College Hospital.

At present, a total of 128 people have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country due to dengue. Among them, 121 people are undergoing treatment at 48 dengue dedicated hospitals in Dhaka. 6 people are undergoing treatment in different hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the Department of Health, a total of 1,056 people were admitted to the hospital from January 1 to June 29 this year. Of these, 928 have been discharged from the hospital. No deaths have been reported from dengue patients in the last 24 hours. The last death was reported on June 21 due to dengue.

Although there was not much dengue infection during the Corona epidemic in 2020, 26,429 people were infected with dengue fever in the country in 2021. In the same year, 105 people died of dengue across the country.
