Sanju Roy, Bogra: In a separate operation in Bogra, the District Intelligence Branch (DB) arrested four people with 10 kg of cannabis and 200 pieces of yaba tablets. They were sent to court on Tuesday afternoon in a drug case. The arrested are Rabbi (23) of Daulatpur village in Comilla's Kotwali, Safi Ullah (43) of Jamirkot village in Chauddagram, Mizanur Rahman alias Fine (30) of Mulbari Madhyapara village in Sonatala upazila of Bogra and Mizanur Rahman Siju (24) of Madhyadighalkandi Uttarpara village. This information was given in a press release sent from Bogra district intelligence branch on Tuesday. Rabbi and Safiullah were arrested along with 10 kg of cannabis from Sajapur area of Dhaka-Bogra highway in Bogra's Shajahanpur upazila around 9am on Tuesday. A drug case has been filed against them at Shajahanpur police station. Earlier, Mizanur Rahman Siju alias Fine and Siju were arrested along with 200 pieces of yaba from Atapara Bazar area of Gabtali upazila in Bogra. They were arrested around 8.15pm on Monday night. A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act at Gabtali Model Police Station. In this context, the district detective police in charge. Saihan Oliullah said the four were arrested on the basis of secret information, including cannabis and yaba. He said they were all drug dealers. He said the DB's anti-drug drive, led by the district police superintendent, would continue in earnest.
