In one day, 35 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in the country

News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 35 more dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital. A total of 65 dengue patients have been admitted to the hospital in the last three days.

This information has been given in the regular report of the Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Health Department on Saturday (June 25) about the dengue situation in the country.

According to the report, 33 out of 35 people admitted to the hospital due to dengue are residents of Dhaka. Besides, two new patients have been admitted to two hospitals outside Dhaka due to dengue.

The total number of dengue patients admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country, including 35 new ones, stands at 126, the statement said. 117 of them are admitted in different government and private hospitals in Dhaka. And there are a total of 9 patients outside Dhaka.

A total of 920 patients were admitted to the hospital from January 1 to June 25 this year. Of them, 692 have recovered and left the hospital. And so far this year, one person has died of dengue.

Earlier, in 2019, the dengue outbreak took a deadly shape. That year, more than a million people were hospitalized with dengue. 146 people died. Dengue did not have much impact in the Corona epidemic in 2020. However, in the middle of 2021, dengue created a somewhat worrying situation.
