Rashed Khan, Tangail: A fifth class student named Shihab Mia (11) was suffocated to death in the residential building of Srishti School in Tangail city, according to the autopsy report. Nine teachers, including the principal, were arrested in a joint operation by RAB and police on Sunday afternoon. Confirming the matter, ASP Ershadur Rahman, commander of RAB-12 CPC-3, said that RAB-6 teachers and Sadar police had taken two teachers for questioning. They will be interrogated. Earlier on June 20, Shihab's body was recovered from the residential building of Srishti School in Biswas Betka Supari Bagan area of ​​the city and taken to Tangail General Hospital by the teachers on duty. The deceased was identified as Shihab Mia, son of Ilias Hossain of Berbari village in Sakhipur upazila of Tangail district. On that day, his family accused him of killing the child. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to the family by the police. An unnatural death case was registered at Tangail Sadar Police Station on the same day. Meanwhile, Shihab's family has been raising allegations of murder since the body was recovered. A number of human chain programs were carried out in Tangail town and in his own upazila Sakhipur on the charge of killing Shihab. Also on Sunday, under the banner of ordinary students of Tangail district studying at Dhaka University, human chains and demonstrations were held in the Raju sculpture area. We want the main culprits to be arrested and exemplary punishment should be provided through speedy and fair investigation. On the other hand, the family of the deceased expressed their displeasure over the media coverage of the rescue of the body of the student and the lack of special role of the police. The issue was also criticized in the conscious community. However, Shihab's family expressed gratitude to the students of different schools and colleges and the conscious community for being by the side of the victim's family.
