The bridge division of the government's Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges has invited six leaders, including the BNP secretary general, to the inauguration ceremony of the Padma Bridge. On Wednesday (June 22) at 11am, Deputy Secretary of the Bridges Division Dulal Chandra Sutradhar visited the BNP's central office in Naya Paltan and handed over the invitations to the party's senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
Invitation cards were issued in the names of party secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan and vice chairman Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.
The Deputy Secretary said, "I have come on behalf of the Bridge Department to hand over the cards for the inauguration ceremony of the Padma Bridge."
BNP central leaders Abul Khair Bhuiyan, Khairul Kabir Khokon, Abdus Salam Azad, Abdus Sattar Patwari and others were present during the handing over of the cards.
