Two drug dealers along with 25 kg of cannabis were arrested in Lalmonirhat

Mostafizur Rahman, Lalmonirhat: The District Detective Branch (DB) has arrested two drug dealers in Kaliganj Upazila in a special operation. Meanwhile, DB police arrested a private car carrying cannabis. On Friday (June 24) morning, two of them were arrested from Sirajul Market area of ​​Kaliganj Rudreshwar village in the upazila under the leadership of District DB Police Inspector Amirul Islam. The arrested are Amirul Islam and Samrat Hossain. DB police said that on the basis of secret information, a group of white-clad DB police led by District Detective Inspector Amirul Islam seized the private car at the spot and conducted a search. At that time, the company recovered 21 kg of cannabis from 6 packets from inside the private car and arrested the two of them. A private car transporting drugs was seized at that time. Detective Inspector Amirul Islam said six bags of cannabis were found in a private car. The private car carrying 21 kg of cannabis weighing 3 kg 500 grams each was seized. Kaliganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Golam Rasul confirmed the incident and said a case has been registered under the Narcotics Control Act.
