Typhoid is spreading worldwide: research

News Desk: Typhoid originating from South Asia is spreading worldwide. The disease has crossed the border more than 200 times in the last three decades. This human resistant to antibiotics is increasingly spreading to different parts of the world. Which is now becoming a global threat.

Between 2014 and 2019, scientists conducted research on 3,469 people infected with STF. The virus kills more than 100,000 people a year with typhoid fever. Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan have the highest prevalence of the disease.

Typhoid killed more people in 2019 than HIV and malaria, according to a separate study published in January. Recent examples include the sharp rise in the disease in the United States.

Jason Andrews, associate professor and head of the research team at Stanford University, said: “The results of the study are really worrying. He called for preventive measures, especially in high-risk countries. The study suggests that preventive measures are needed, especially in high-risk countries. ”
