27 dengue patients admitted to the hospital

News Desk: Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever has infected 26 people in different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours. In the previous 24 hours, 26 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever. At present, 113 patients are admitted in hospitals across the country including the capital.

On Wednesday (June 22), the Health Department's Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room in-charge Dr. This information has been given in a press release signed by Mohammad Zahidul Islam.

It said 26 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital between 8am on Tuesday (June 21) and Wednesday. 26 of them are undergoing treatment at different hospitals in Dhaka. Of the 26, 11 are being treated at Mugda Medical College Hospital in the capital. One is undergoing treatment outside Dhaka.

At present, a total of 113 people have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country due to dengue. Among them, 106 are undergoing treatment at 48 Dengue Dedicated Hospitals in Dhaka. Five people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the Department of Health, 635 people have been hospitalized with dengue from January 1 to June 22 this year. Of these, 621 people have recovered and left the hospital. However, no dengue deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours. One died of dengue on June 21. This is the first death from dengue this year.

Although there was not much dengue infection during the Corona epidemic in 2020, 26,429 people were infected with dengue fever in 2021 and 105 people died.
