News Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that there is nothing to worry about in floods, I think there is nothing to worry about when floods come. The people of Bangladesh must always deal with natural disasters. The infrastructure has to be built in the same way.

He said this while visiting Sylhet on Tuesday to see the residents. After inspecting the flood-hit areas by helicopter, Sheikh Hasina spoke to the administration and party leaders and workers at Sylhet Circin House.

He said no more roads will be built in Sylhet area by raising the ground. The road will be 'elevated'. Elevated roads are not easily damaged, they are also convenient for travel in disasters like floods.

Besides, dredging measures will be taken to maintain the depth of the rivers, she said, adding that capital dredging should not be done only once. After that regular maintenance dredging should be done.

Highlighting her experience of visiting Sylhet as a child, Bangabandhu Kanya said, "There was a huge drain, there was a drain in front of all the houses." Slab contraction joints should intersect at the openings for columns. Unfortunately now but not. The condition of the building is such that there is no place for water to go. It will take a place to get water.

The Prime Minister said those who created it at that time did so thinking about nature. But now those who are doing it in our time, they may not be thinking.
