International Desk: Pakistan is in fear of floods in big cities. Union Climate Change Minister Shiri Rahman has expressed fears of floods in several cities across the country. He said there was a clear risk of flooding in the city on Tuesday amid ongoing pre-monsoon rains. Pakistan's Climate Change Minister Shiri Rehman said urban areas could experience torrential rains. There is a risk of urban flooding. Of these, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshawar and Islamabad are particularly at risk. It has been directed to take all possible precautionary measures to deal with the possible catastrophic effects of monsoon rains. Climate change minister Sherry has predicted monsoon rains in Pakistan until August. Punjab and Indus are expected to receive above normal rainfall this year. He highlighted the dire situation in neighboring countries. At the beginning of the monsoon, a state of emergency has been declared in neighboring India and Bangladesh. He added that geographically, in the foothills of the Himalayas, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and the central part of the Punjab region may receive more than normal rainfall. It should be noted, however, that rivers and streams are prone to flooding. So caution should be exercised. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Office said that pre-monsoon rains have started in some parts of the country. Karachi is likely to receive showers with strong winds and thunderstorms from Tuesday evening. Which could run until June 22. The meteorological department has also forecast rains for the next two days in Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Sukkur, Larkana, Kashmur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Nawabshah and other parts of Sindh.
