Another 15 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals in the country

News Desk: In the last 24 hours, 15 more people have been admitted to hospitals across the country due to Aedes mosquito-borne dengue fever. A total of 69 dengue patients are being treated in hospitals across the country.

On Sunday (June 5), the Health Department's Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room in-charge Dr. Md. This information was given in a report on dengue signed by Jahidul Islam.

According to the report, 15 more dengue patients were admitted to the hospital from 8 am on Saturday to the same period on Sunday. All the new victims are being treated at different hospitals in Dhaka.

At present, a total of 69 people have been admitted to various government and private hospitals in the country due to dengue. Of these, 6 are undergoing treatment at 48 Dengue Dedicated Hospitals in Dhaka. Three people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

According to the Department of Health, a total of 426 people have been hospitalized with dengue from January 1 to June 5 this year. Of these, 356 have been discharged from the hospital after recovering. However, no deaths of dengue patients have been reported this year including last 24 hours.

Although there was not much dengue infection during the Corona epidemic in 2020, 26,429 people were infected with dengue fever in the country in 2021. In the same year, 105 people died of dengue fever across the country.
