Rape-ridden teenager raped in Baufel, rapist arrested

A 13-year-old girl with a speech impediment has been raped in Dakshin Laxmipasha village of Ward No. 3 of Adabaria Union in Baufal. Locals arrested a teenager named Delwar Khan (14) around 11:30 pm on Friday (June 3) and handed him over to the police. The rapist Delwar Vaila Fazlul Haque Mollah is a ninth class student of the secondary school. His father's name was Nurul Haque Khan. It is learned that on the afternoon of the incident, Delwar, the ninth class son of Nurul Haque Khan, a resident of Ward No. 2 of the same union, called the speech-impaired girl out of the house and raped her. In the evening, the girl's mother saw bleeding from her daughter's genitals and when she asked the girl, she gestured to him to rape her. When the incident was reported to the members of the concerned ward and some others, the four suspects were brought before the girl with the help of the locals and she showed it to the girl. At that time, the locals arrested Dolowar and informed the Baufal police station. Upon receiving the news, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baufal Police Station went to the spot at 11:30 pm and brought the rapist Delwar to the police station. Baufal police officer in charge on Saturday afternoon. Al Mamun said the rapist was sent to Patuakhali Medical College Hospital at night for treatment. The parents of the rapist have come to the police station. Complaints will be dealt with.
