The present government, the state minister for water resources in Manikganj is working hard to prevent erosion

Manikganj Correspondent: State Minister for Water Resources Colonel (retd) Zahid Farooq has said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of the present government believes in words and not deeds. The present government is working for crores of rupees to prevent river erosion by thinking of char areas. On Thursday (June 2) at noon, Manikganj Daulatpur Upazila Jamuna River erosion affected Charkatari, Bachamara, Baghutia, Shibalaya Upazila Teota Union visited various areas including Charkatari Jamuna River Char State Minister for Water Resources Colonel (Ab) Spoke.

The state minister for water resources said the project has been taken to prevent erosion of the Jamuna river. Therefore, the study is ongoing. A project of 2.9 km is already under process. It will not be sustainable if the work is started in the current flood. Work will start when the water recedes. As a result, there will be no river erosion in the next flood. He said that to prevent river erosion, spars will be provided at a distance of one and a half to two hundred feet from the bank. As a result, the current will not be pushed directly to the shore. It will not be so broken. The silt will fall and the char will slowly fall in this place. This has been done in different areas. There they will be able to cultivate the land lost in the erosion.

It will also keep the path straight through river governance. The country is moving forward under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
