News Desk: Gana Sanghati Andolan has held a meeting with a four-member delegation led by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir. During the meeting, 7-point proposal including amendment of the constitution in favor of mass solidarity movement was presented to BNP. The meeting was held at noon on Tuesday (May 31) at the political office of the mass solidarity movement in the capital's Hatirpule. After the meeting, Jonaid Saki, chief coordinator of the mass solidarity movement, said those in power were trying to influence the election and deprive the people of their right to vote. The present government has established fascism by relying on constitutional powers. This constitutional power structure needs to be changed. That is why we have discussed a number of specific proposals for constitutional reform. For example, we think that the judiciary should be completely separated from the executive branch. The lower court must be subordinate to the higher court, in all respects; His appointment-transfer, including promotion. The appointment of judges of the High Court should be done in a precise manner and seniority should not be violated in any way or in any way. "We have put forward six such proposals," he added. We have reformed Article 70, proportional representation system, appointment of all constitutional posts through constitutional commissions, establishment of local government system, balance of power of President and Prime Minister, formation of lower house and upper house in Parliament, introduction of provincial system, repeal of all undemocratic laws, digital I have called for the repeal of the Security Act or the RPO which oppresses the people. He said that the law has been constitutionally protected to ensure equality of opportunity, human dignity, social justice and security of life and property for every citizen irrespective of religion, caste, creed, language and gender. We think that after the fall of this government, a new dream can be created in the people of Bangladesh only through the constitutional transformation or democratic transformation of the state through a constitutional reform, a new democratic settlement. Jonaid Saki said, "On behalf of our party, we clearly think that a movement is needed for the fall of the current government." If a national outline emerges from the opposition political parties, the people will be agitated anew. We will be able to build a greater unity and force the current government to resign. That is why we initially agreed that the movement should be conducted simultaneously from one's position. Mentioning that the government has taken away the voting rights of the people of the country and made 160 million people stand in a row, Saki further said that each of them will start a movement today to demand the right to vote. Since the government has put in place a national unity, this national movement will do its best in the future. We have discussed the simultaneous trend of how to coordinate between these. This will be discussed further in the future. Through this, a structure, an outline will definitely come to the fore in the future. An 11-member delegation led by Jonaid Saki, chief coordinator of Gana Sanghati Andolan, took part in the discussion. They are: Executive Coordinator Abul Hasan Rubel, Political Council Member Taslima Akhter, Munir Uddin Pappu, Hasan Maruf Rumi, Editorial Board Member Imrad Zulkarnain, Bachchu Bhuiyan, Julhasnain Babu, Deepak Roy, Central Member Mizanur Rahman, Alif Dewan. Apart from the party's secretary general, standing committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku and former MP Zahir Uddin Mahmud Swapan also took part on behalf of the BNP. The BNP held a dialogue with Mahmudur Rahman's Citizens' Unity on May 24 and the Labor Party on May 26, two days later.
