'BNP is conspiring in the inauguration of Padma bridge'

News Desk: Shahjahan Khan, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Liberation War and presidium member of the Awami League, has said that the BNP is conspiring to dampen the joy of the people at the inauguration of the Padma Bridge. He said people across the country would rejoice on the opening day of the Padma Bridge.

Mentioning that extortion is also taking place in the name of lease from the roads of different municipalities and city corporations of the country, the former minister said, "We have information that levy is being levied in the name of lease of three to five thousand rupees per car on ferries in BIWTA seaports."
