Atrai arrested 1 in a sensational theft case

News Desk: Atrai police have uncovered a sensational theft at a development shop at Sahebganj intersection in Naogaon. According to CCTV footage, an active member of the gang named Rubel Sheikh has been arrested and sent to Naogaon Jail. He was arrested on May 26 from Jirabo area under Ashulia police station in Dhaka. It is learned that on the morning of September 24, 2021, he opened a shutter of a shop called Hello Atrai at Sahebganj corner of the upazila and took away a bag containing money and mobile. The bag contained Rs 90,000 in cash, Rs 26,000 in recharge cards and seven mobile phones. A case was lodged at Atrai police station on October 4 in connection with the incident. Atrai Police Officer-in-Charge Abul Kalam Azad said in a press release on Friday (May 26). He said the search for CCTV footage of the theft was under the direction of Naogaon Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan Miah BPM and Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Md. Under the direct supervision of Rakibul Hasan Ibne Rahman, the investigating officer of the case SI Jahangir Alam along with allied forces arrested Rubel Sheikh from Jirabo area under Ashulia police station in Dhaka.
