1 arrested in Sharjah with Indian silver and motorcycle

Benapole Correspondent: Police have arrested a smuggler named Jasim Uddin (39) along with 6 kg 300 grams of Indian silver and a motorcycle from Sharsha border in Jessore. Police on Tuesday (May 24) afternoon seized the silver consignment from the Basatpur Fultala junction on the Goga-Satmile road in the upazila. The detainee was identified as Jasim Uddin, son of Rafiqul Islam of Goga Gazipara village in the upazila. According to the police, Jasim was arrested along with a motorcycle after receiving a tip-off about silver smuggling. According to the information given by him, a search was carried out on a motorcycle and 8 kg and 300 grams of Indian silver kept in a special condition was recovered. SI Saiful Islam, in-charge of Bagamchara police investigation center, said a case has been registered against the arrested accused at Sharsha police station.
