Whoever extorts money in my name, strict action: Home Minister

News Desk: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that the law enforcement agencies will take strict action against those who extort money in my name. He was speaking to reporters at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Friday (May 20). Warning, the Home Minister said, why extort money in my name. Everyone is equal in the eyes of the law. He who commits a crime will be punished.

The man who went to extort money in my name has been caught, a weapon has been found in his possession. He further said that RAB took action after hearing the issue of extortion in my name.
