Bangladesh-India passenger train launched on 29 May

News Desk: Passenger train service between Bangladesh and India will resume from May 29. The Indian High Commission in Dhaka said this on Friday (May 20). According to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka, the Maitri Express between Dhaka and Kolkata and the Bondhan Express between Kolkata and Khulna will be re-launched on May 29. Maitri Express will depart from Dhaka. The Bondhan Express will depart from Kolkata. The Mitali Express between New Jalpaiguri and Dhaka will start from June 1. The Railway Ministers of India and Bangladesh will launch a virtual train. This train will start its journey from New Jalpaiguri. Due to Covid-19, passenger train communication between Bangladesh and India was closed for two years. Meanwhile, as the Corona situation is normal and those interested in traveling to India after opening the border are flocking to the India Visa Office in Bangladesh to submit their visas. If the train is launched, the pressure of the passengers interested in traveling to India is expected to increase.
