11 hundred liters of soybean seized in Kaliganj

Mostafizur Rahman Lalmonirhat: Under the leadership of ASM Masum Ud Daula, Assistant Director, Consumer Rights Protection Department, two separate raids were carried out in Kakina Bazar and Kal Bhairab Bazar of Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district on Thursday, May 19 and 1,100 liters of old soybean oil was seized. In Kakina Bazar, dealer Sajib Traders seized 500 liters of soybeans from Jahangir Alam's shop at a price of Tk 6,000 and Hanif Mia's owner at Hanifbhai Mia's shop in Kalbhairab Bazar of Dalgram Union seized 500 liters of soybeans at a price of Tk 5,000. The seized soybeans were later sold to the public through the market committee at earlier prices. The assistant director said necessary action would be taken if any complaint was received about the stock of soybean at the previous price in any shop or dealer.
