Facebook paid ৭ 397 to 1.7 million users

The incident took place in the western US state of Illinois. The money was paid to users from Facebook's settlement fund in a lawsuit filed in an Illinois court in 2020, according to a report by US media outlet NBC News. It said 1.6 million Illinois residents had filed a lawsuit against Facebook for allegedly protecting digital images of users' faces without permission.
