News Desk: The government is taking action against money launderers, said the Minister of Information and Broadcasting and the joint general secretary of the Awami League. Hassan Mahmud.

He was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting on 'Sheikh Hasina's Homecoming' organized by the Awami League's sub-committee on forest and environment at the National Museum auditorium in the capital on Monday (May 18).

Addressing BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the information minister said, "The spokesperson of the party whose chairman has been convicted of corruption and whose acting chairman has been convicted of money laundering is the spokesperson of world thieves."

Hasan Mahmud said that the BNP had carried out propaganda that it would take people's heads to build the Padma Bridge. The minister said during the Corona, BNP leaders had said that thousands of people would have died on the streets in the country. They have also spread propaganda about vaccines.
