53 arrested for selling and consuming drugs in the capital

News Desk: 53 people have been arrested by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on charges of selling and consuming drugs.

The campaign runs from 6am on Saturday (May 14) to 6am on Sunday (May 15).

7,199 pieces of yaba, 20 kg 515 gm of cannabis, 93 gm of pure heroin and 154 bottles of phencidyl were seized from the arrested persons.

A total of 42 cases have been registered against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act.
