34 arrested in anti-drug operation in Dhaka

News Desk: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested 34 people on charges of selling and consuming drugs in an anti-drug operation in the capital.

According to the DMP, the raids were carried out in different parts of the capital from 6 am on Tuesday (May 10) to 6 am on Wednesday (May 11).

At that time, 4,084 pieces of yaba, 5 kg 200 gm of cannabis, 6 gm of 45 pure heroin were recovered from them.

The DMP also said that 26 cases have been registered against the arrested persons under the Narcotics Control Act.
