Bangladesh will never be Sri Lanka: Quader

News Desk: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has claimed that the party has proved its internal democracy through unit conference.

He was speaking at an introductory meeting of the newly formed unit committee of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) on Saturday.

Obaidul Quader said that the Awami League has proved the practice of internal democracy through the unit conference. This has been possible due to the sincerity, devotion and responsibility of the leaders and workers of Awami League.

"We are optimistic about the presence of thousands of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League workers," he said. I will also tell the leader that the Awami League under your leadership is awake with Bangabandhu's ideology in its bosom. If the Awami League is united, we will be able to reach the port of victory under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina in the next elections. The Awami League will reach the port of victory. There is no benefit in propaganda and character assassination. There is no benefit in propaganda at home and abroad. The roots of the Awami League cannot be uprooted as deep as Bangladesh.

Opposing the development including the Padma Bridge-Metrorail, Quader said there would be no gain, adding that Sheikh Hasina's progress could not be stopped by propaganda. Bangabandhu's daughter is moving forward with heroism. While spreading propaganda against development, they are saying that Bangladesh is following the path of Sri Lanka. Bangladesh's economy is based on strong fears. Some are not understanding, while others have resorted to these propaganda to oppose Sheikh Hasina. There will be no profit.

At that time, Quader said, Bangladesh has never been in debt since independence and never will be. Bangladesh's economy is in a state of equilibrium. Bangladesh will never be Sri Lanka. Bangladesh has maintained its economic position in all indices. Where all the indicators in Sri Lanka have deteriorated drastically.

Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League President Bazlur Rahman also spoke in the presidency of the Presidium Member of the Awami League. Abdur Razzak, Lt.
