News Desk: From Sunday (April 3), the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, bank transactions will continue for 5 hours. Transactions can be done from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm.
However, there will be a break for noon prayers from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm. The bank will be open till 4 pm to complete the ancillary work.
On Wednesday (March 30), the general manager of offsite supervision of Bangladesh Bank, Md. A circular signed by Anwarul Islam has been sent to the managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks operating in the country.
It has been said that the schedule of offices and transactions of all the banking companies operating in Bangladesh during the holy month of Ramadan 1443 AH is as follows. Sunday to Thursday from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm (1.15 pm to 1.30 pm with break of Zuhr prayers) from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm. Friday and Saturday are weekly holidays. Although a break has been fixed for the Zuhr prayers from 01.15 minutes to 01.30 minutes, transactions will continue through internal coordination as per pre-Ramadan rules.
