Detained in Sylhet with 34 thousand yaba

News Desk: RAB has arrested two people including 34,300 pieces of yaba in Sylhet. They were detained during a raid in the Mirabazar area of ​​the city on Thursday (March 24) night. The arrested are Farhana Akhter Juheli (31) and her accomplice Munna Mia (35). Juheli is the wife of Mahmud Hossain Russell of Zakiganj in Sylhet and Munna is the son of late Azizul Haque of East Birgaon in South Sunamganj. According to RAB, RAB conducted an operation in the area on the basis of secret information.

During the operation, RAB arrested Farhana Akhter Juheli and Munna Mia along with 34,300 pieces of yaba. At that time, 63,065 rupees, 50 US dollars and four mobile phones were recovered from them. RAB-9 Media Officer and Assistant Superintendent of Police Somen Majumder said the Russell-Juheli couple used to supply yaba from different parts of the country including Sylhet under the guise of fish business. Later, they were handed over to Shahparan (Rah.) Police station with a case.
