BRAC Bank and Uttara Bank declare dividends

News Desk: Listed BRAC Bank and Uttara Bank Limited have announced to pay dividends to the shareholders. The board of directors of the two banks, which met on Tuesday (March 15), reviewed the audited financial statements for the year ended January 31, 2021 and decided to pay a dividend of 15 and 26 per cent to shareholders, respectively.

According to the information provided by BRAC Bank, the earnings per share (EPS) of BRAC Bank in 2021 has been 3 93 paise. From there, it has announced a dividend of 6.5 per cent in cash and 7.5 per cent bonus shares for shareholders.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the company is scheduled for April 28 for the unanimous approval of the dividend declared by the Board to the shareholders. The AGM is scheduled to be held on that day through digital platform. The record date has been set for April 8.
