News Desk: The date of recruitment test for 45,000 assistant teachers in government primary schools has been postponed. The test may start on April 6. The five-step test is scheduled to end on May 13. The information came from a letter signed by Director General of the Department of Primary Education Alamgir Muhammad Mansurul Alam on Tuesday (March 15) regarding the selection of examination centers.

It has been decided to use your institution as a center for taking the written test of Teacher Recruitment-2020 in Government Primary Schools on 6th, 15th and 22nd April and 13th May at 3 pm. It is further requested that permission be given to use your institution as a center for taking Assistant Teacher Recruitment Test on the mentioned dates. Meanwhile, on March 10, the Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education in the meeting room of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education. A meeting chaired by Zakir Hossain decided to take the exam on April 1. The meeting was informed that the candidates who have passed the examination in April will be recruited by the month of July. The meeting was informed that the Department of Primary Education has issued a notification on October 20, 2020 for the recruitment of 32,057 vacant posts of Assistant Teachers. But due to the Corona epidemic, it was not possible to take the test. More than 10,000 posts of assistant teachers have already fallen vacant due to retirement. This has led to shortage of teachers in schools.

To solve this problem, the ministry has decided to appoint about 45,000 assistant teachers by combining the vacancies in the previous notification and the vacancies after the notification.
