Romania will take skilled and unskilled workers from Bangladesh, including cleaners

News Desk: Robert Sorin Negoita, the mayor of Bucharest, the capital of Romania, has expressed interest in hiring skilled and unskilled workers from Bangladesh, including cleaners.

The mayor of Bucharest expressed the interest during a meeting between a delegation led by DCC Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and Bucharest Mayor Robert Negoita at the Dhaka South City Corporation (SCC) head office in Nagar Bhaban on Sunday afternoon.

The delegation led by Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas included DSCC CEO Farid Ahmed, Chief Waste Management Officer Sitwat Naeem, Chief Engineer Saleh Ahmed and Deputy Director of Bucharest Police Victor Niagara.

Bucharest City Manager Marius Daniel Siobica, Romania-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce President Mohammad Rafiqul Islam and others participated.

During the meeting, Mayor Robert Negoita said that there was a demand for cleaners in Bucharest, including skilled and unskilled workers, and expressed interest in meeting part of that demand from Bangladesh. Mayor Barrister Sheikh Tapas thanked him for his interest and assured him of necessary cooperation.

Earlier in the morning, Bucharest Mayor Robert Sorin Negoita and his entourage visited Dhanmondi-32. Later, the Mayor of Romania Bangabandhu visited different rooms of the building. At the end, he paid homage to the memory of Bangabandhu and wrote his remarks in the inspection book.
