Although bad news for the users, this will prevent the spread of fake news, the company said. Most of the time, when users receive a message, they immediately send it to all groups without reading it. However, if this feature is rolled out, this type of work can no longer be done.

Earlier, WhatsApp launched an update that allows users to send multiple forwarded messages in a single chat. The company set this limit on forwarded messages to limit the virality of a message.

The move comes after the company started the process of identifying messages forwarded more than once with WhatsApp double arrow. Now the messaging app probably wants to bring this feature to group chats as well.

As a result, if you want to send a message labeled Forwarded, it will no longer be possible to send it to multiple group chats at once. In order to send that message in many group chats, you need to forward it to each group separately.

WhatsApp is currently testing the feature and is being rolled out to certain beta testers. So it is expected that this feature will be rolled out to all users in the next few days.
