News Desk: Mentioning the responsibility of the people in tackling the ongoing Corona epidemic situation in the country and in health protection, Health Minister Zahid Malek said, the responsibility of the people is much greater. We have to take responsibility for our own protection.

That is not possible for the government alone. He said that in order to go to stadiums, trade fairs and book fairs, one has to have a certificate of coronavirus resistant ticker and a negative certificate of PCR test. No more than 100 people can attend a wedding, state or religious ceremony. All those who come to these events must have a vaccine certificate or a negative certificate of PCR test. He made the remarks at an emergency press conference at the Mohakhali Health Department on Friday (January 21st) morning. The health minister said 33 per cent of the beds in the hospitals had already been filled due to the increase in the severity of the infection. The situation could worsen further. Therefore, in consultation with the Prime Minister, it has been decided to close the school-college for the next two weeks. Calling on all to abide by the 11-point ban that came into force on January 13, Zahid Malek said, "Efforts are being made to implement these." This decision was made to reduce the risk of infection. We have to follow the rules of health for the protection of family, country and ourselves. The government imposes restrictions so that we comply. The minister said that in addition to the vaccination certificate, a negative certificate of corona test would be required to go to the place where there is sports. These should also be shown at the book fair.

The book fair has been postponed due to the rising tide of infection. Like other countries in the world, we are not out of the current situation. At the same time, he stressed on increasing the administration's surveillance in implementing the restrictions announced by the government. Regarding the reduction in the vaccination target to 80 percent, the health minister said, "We have promised to vaccinate 125 million people." But it is in 80 percent. Many live outside. In all, we have given 15 crore 10 lakh vaccines. There are 9 crores in hand. We have received three lakh 36 thousand vaccinations from Johnson. More to come.
