News Desk: All classes of physical examinations have been postponed at Jagannath University (JU) due to increased coronavirus infection. This decision will be effective till February 8. However, all year classes will be taken online to avoid session clutter. The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the university on Friday (January 21). The decision will be made later if the infection subsides in two weeks. Regarding the ongoing examinations, the Vice-Chancellor said, "The decision will be taken in consultation with the Dean of the Faculty and the Chairmen of the Departments. It is learned that the pre-selection test for BUET admission was held on October 20 and 21. Later on 8th November final admission test was held. Meanwhile, the cabinet department has issued a directive to close educational institutions till February 8 due to the spread of coronavirus. This information was given in a notification on Friday (January 21). Universities, like schools and colleges, will take similar measures in their respective fields, the circular said.
