News Desk: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that there will be no benefit in the President's dialogue. He made the remarks at a rally in front of the National Press Club on Saturday (January 6th) morning.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's unconditional release and the demand for better treatment abroad was organized by the Women and Children's Rights Forum.

Fakhrul said, what is the dialogue? Most political parties have already boycotted the dialogue. We have made it clear that there will be no gain in this dialogue. Meaningless dialogue. If there is no neutral government during the election, then the Election Commission has nothing to do. Let us be clear, first of all release Begum Khaleda Zia. Then resign and return the power to the people with the power in the hands of a neutral government. That is the only way, there is no other way.

He said the release of Khaleda Zia is now the demand of the people, it is a people's demand. This demand must be accepted by the government. If the government does not accept this people's demand, then this government will have to suffer the consequences of the previous governments for denying the people's demand.

The BNP secretary general said Khaleda Zia was very ill. I have been protesting systematically for the last two and a half months. We have held numerous rallies across the country. From every rally, a voice came in the voices of millions of people - I want the release of Begum Khaleda Zia.

Asking for Khaleda Zia's release, Mirza Fakhrul said, Begum Khaleda Zia is the symbol of democracy. He is the symbol of independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh. Symbol of building Bangladesh as a beautiful, prosperous state. The government does not want to release Begum Khaleda Zia. Why not? Because they know that if Begum Khaleda Zia is released then there will be a wave of people. The government will not be able to survive in this wave. That is why they do not want Khaleda Zia released.

BNP standing committee members Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman, Chairperson's Adviser Amanullah Aman, Abdus Salam, Kalyan Party Chairman Syed Muhammad Ibrahim Bir Pratik, Citizens' Unity Convener Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Labor Party Chairman Mostafizur Rahman Iran, BNP Secretary Shabefas Sapu, Chhatra Dal president Fazlur Rahman Khaekon, organizing secretary Saif Mahmud Jewel and other leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present.
