Press conference of the boat candidate demanding re-election

Rahmatullah, Naogaon: Awami League candidate (Nauka) Sadek Uddin and members of the ward held a press conference demanding recount of votes at Raghunathpur Government Primary School polling station in ward 1 of Nazipur Union Parishad in Patnitala upazila of Naogaon.

The press conference was held at noon on Friday (January 6) at Natun Hat corner of Patnitala Upazila. Independent (horse) chairman candidate and his supporters entered the center and snatched the SD card. At that time, he beat up the presiding officer of the center. And try to get results for them. Police fired 111 rounds of rubber bullets to control the situation. The presiding officer gave a written certificate to the effect that the results of the center were suspended and gave a confessional video statement.

Later, the Returning Officer of the Upazila declared the result in favor of the independent candidate (horse) without taking any opinion of the Presiding Officer. The ruling party's chairman candidate and locals demanded that the polling center be re-opened as it was completely illegal.
