Saiful Islam, Bagerhat: Various programs have been celebrated in Morelganj of Bagerhat on Tuesday on the occasion of the 64th founding anniversary of Bangladesh Chhatra League. The program included hoisting of national and party flags, laying of wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu, colorful processions, cakes and discussion meetings.
In the morning, the colorful procession led by Upazila Chhatra League President Mohiduzzaman Mohid and General Secretary Nurunnabi Parag started from the Upazila Chattar, went around the main roads of the municipal town and ended at Kapuria Patri. Advocate Amirul Alam Milon of Bagerhat-4 Asen was the chief guest in the discussion meeting held there. Special guests were District Awami League Vice-President Upazila Chairman Adv. Shah-e-Alam Bachchu, Upazila Awami League General Secretary M Emdadul Haque, Municipal Awami League General Secretary Harun Aur Rashid, Ikhtiyar Hossain Dilal, Vice Chairman and Upazila Juba League convener Mozammel Haque Mozam. The two-day program also includes lighting, cultural programs and prayer gatherings. Hundreds of BCL leaders and activists from different unions of the upazila took part in the BCL program with a procession.
