The size of our economy will be বিল 500 billion in the next financial year: Finance Minister

News Desk: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has said that Bangladesh is now a developing country from a least developed country to Qatar. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has touched this milestone. The country is moving forward in all sectors of the economy. Bangladesh has been praised all over the world for its growth.

"It took 19 years for our economy to reach বিল 100 billion," he said. Now the size of our economy is 411 billion US dollars and per capita income has increased to two thousand 554 dollars. In the next financial year, the size of our economy will be 500 billion dollars.

He made the remarks at a program organized on Sunday (January 2nd) to mark Bangladesh's transition to developing countries. The event was organized by the Department of Economic Relations at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was virtually the chief guest at the event.

At present, the foreign exchange reserves are around থেকে 45 to ৬ 46 billion, the finance minister said. I believe that inshallah we will be able to increase the reserves to ৫০ 50 billion by the end of this year. The rate of education has increased in the country, poverty has decreased. The size of our annual development program has increased. The state of the world economy is not good in Kovid, yet Bangladesh is doing well. I will transform it into a hunger free high income country by 2030.

In 2041, Bangladesh will become a happy and prosperous developed country. Bangladesh will be the happy and prosperous golden dream of the father of the nation, added AHM Mustafa Kamal.
