Feni Correspondent: Awami League Advisory Council member and former MP Joynal Hazari breathed his last at Lab Aid Hospital in the capital around 5:30 pm on Monday. He was 6 years old at the time of his death.

Although he became a recluse in the last days of his life, discussions and debates did not leave him behind. In politics, starting from Namidami, he has taken place in the hearts of many people at the public level, but in his personal life, he has not been tied to the arms of any partner. At different times, politicians were seen getting married and having a family at the age of 50, but this political personality was ‘Chirkumar’ till his death.

From the political arena to the curiosity of the people about the unmarried life of Joynal Hazari has never waned. He himself has spoken to the media more than once about his personal life. However, Chirkumar Joynal Hazari never acknowledged unmarried life as a 'gap'. The story of this politician's relationship and divorce with a young woman named 'Biju' has come to the fore many times behind not getting married. In his book titled 'Bijur Bichar Chai', various moments of his personal life came up with that woman. The book was widely discussed. Joynal Hazari, who was the General Secretary of Feni District Awami League for more than 20 consecutive years from 1984 to 2004, was elected MP more than once with the nomination of Awami League from Feni-2 (Sadar) constituency. He was the founder and publisher of Hazarika Pratidin.

A few years ago, Joynal Hazari told the media that it was not a "gap" in my political life. In the political context, many left-wing politicians who belonged to the Communist or Congress parties were not married. And if we look at the global context, many philosophers and scientists of the world did not get married, did not even think about marriage. Whether marriage happened or not, whether I stayed in Chirkumar or not - this is neither an obstacle nor a complement to politics.

His comment was like this - when I was old enough to get married, I was in the heyday of '69, '70, '71. Then there was no time to think about love, biju and marriage. After returning from the liberation war, I was arrested and went to jail within six months. In fact, my life was always in danger. As a result, the marriage was not done. Joynal Hazari said about that popular woman Biju, Biju is real but also fictional. I have written many stories about Biju. I have never really loved Biju in the way that has been portrayed in my story. It was all fiction.
